A Los Angeles man was killed in an early morning accident on a desolate stretch of road in the Antelope Valley, and his brother faces felony charges in connection with the crash, authorities said.
Daniel Dolan, 41, of Kernville was driving west on Pearblossom Highway about three miles east of the junction with Antelope Highway about 1:45 a.m. Saturday when he veered off the road onto the rough shoulder, causing the car to flip several times, California Highway Patrol Officer Brent Vial said.
Dolan and his two passengers were thrown from the car.
The driver’s brother, Robert Dolan, 45, died shortly after the accident. Seth McNiel, 38, of Palmdale was treated for minor injuries at Palmdale Hospital Medical Center and released. Daniel Dolan was reported in satisfactory condition with multiple injuries at the same hospital.
Vial said Dolan will be charged with felony drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter.
