Steelcase Inc., the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer, has appointed Jerry K. Myers president and chief executive. Myers succeeds Frank H. Merlotti, 64, who retires after 29 years with the company. Merlotti will remain a director and chairman of the executive committee. Myers, 49, was most recently executive vice president and general manager of TRW’s Automotive Sector in Cleveland.
