Agoura’s Martin Might Return Next Week After Twisting Ankle

Senior guard Sean Martin, who sustained an ankle injury during the first half of an 87-73 loss to Camarillo on Wednesday, might return to action as early as next week, Coach Kevin Pasky said Thursday.
Martin, who is averaging 28.4 points, left the Marmonte League opener after twisting his left ankle in the second quarter. He was taken to Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks where he was told he had sustained only a slight sprain.
Pasky said Martin will be examined today by an orthopedic surgeon.
“Sean was even talking about playing (Friday), but I’m not going to let that happen,” Pasky said. “He was in a lot of pain Wednesday, but he was feeling better (Thursday).”
Martin, a 5-foot-9 senior, was a Times second-team All-Valley selection last year who averaged 21.6 points.
