Temple Ramat Zion will begin a lecture program Tuesday at 8 p.m. with “Contemporary Moral Issues and the Law.” The lecture series will continue each week, with “Russian Jewry, Operation Exodus” as the Jan. 15 topic and “The Israeli Scene Today” as the Jan. 29 topic.
Cost for the series of three lectures will be $15 for general admission and $10 for members.
The temple is at 17655 Devonshire St., Northridge.

Congregation Beth Kodesh will hold a forum Friday on “Israel Today--Our Gem in the Middle East,” with Phil Blazer, editor and publisher of Israel Today Magazine.
The forum will be held after the 8 p.m. service.
The synagogue is at 7401 Shoup Ave., West Hills.
