Southland : Disneyland Cuts Admission Prices for Southland Residents

ANAHEIM — In a move to bolster local attendance as the recession hurts the tourism industry, Disneyland announced today that it is temporarily reducing admission prices to $20 for Southern California residents, starting Saturday.
The reduced daily fee, which applies to adults and children, will be available through March 3. Although a similar program has been tried at Walt Disney World in Florida, it marks the first time that Disneyland has offered cut-rate prices at the admission gate.
“It is a change so that Southern Californians can come out and go on rides and attractions that have been their favorites for 35 years,” said Disneyland President Jack Lindquist.
