Chapman Women Beat Panhandle St.

ORANGE — Jackie Saunders scored 23 points as the Chapman women’s basketball team defeated Panhandle State (Okla.), 98-73, in a nonconference game Sunday night at Chapman College.

Jennifer Ballinger scored 17 points, Marvette Williams 16 and Missy Abraham 14 for the Panthers (8-6), who led, 43-41, at the half. Panhandle State fell to 6-7. Chapman visits Grand Canyon University on Jan. 10.
