President Bush will George H. Pfau Jr., a San Francisco investment banker, to be a director of the Securities Investor Protection Corp. Pfau, 66, a senior vice president for Paine Webber, and Bush were classmates at Yale University. He would succeed Frederick N. Khedouri.
