Nevada Las Vegas became the first school in four years to receive unanimous acclaim as the top college basketball team when the Associated Press released its weekly poll.
UNLV (8-0) got all 64 first-place votes and 1,600 points in balloting by sportswriters and broadcasters. The last unanimous pick was North Carolina in 1986.
