DETROIT — Chrysler Corp. said today it will sweeten buyer incentives on many of its truck lines for 1991--while lowering rebates on some 1991 car lines under an offer until March 31.
Truck rebates range from $300 to $1,500 on 1991 models, with the alternative of low-rate financing that ranges as low as 6.7% for two-year loans. Rebates on leftover 1989 and 1990 vehicles vary from $500 to $2,500, depending on model.
Chrysler is also offering $500 rebates on its 1991-model minivans without driver-side air bags. Beginning Feb. 1, buyers will be able to opt for either the cash rebate or a free air bag on those minivans through the end of March, company spokesman Tom Jakobowski said.
