WORLD IN BRIEF : ISRAEL : 4 Arabs Alleged to Be Collaborators Killed

Four Arabs were killed by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip in one of the bloodiest days of attacks against suspected collaborators with Israel. The killings occurred despite attempts by leaders of the Palestinian uprising against Israeli rule to end such violence, Arab sources said. Another Arab, whose body was found earlier in the week, was believed to have been killed by collaborators. On Dec. 31, the underground leadership heading a 3-year-old revolt against Israeli rule ordered a halt to the widespread killing of collaborators and “moral delinquents.”
