Larry Lawrence resigned Thursday as coach of the Santa Clara High football team, citing irreconcilable differences with the school’s administration.
Lawrence, 51, coached the Saints for two seasons. The team posted a record of 4-7 in 1990 and lost in the first round of the Southern Section Division VIII playoffs.
In 1989, Santa Clara was 11-3 and advanced to the Division VIII semifinals.
