TRW Unit Buys Competing Tax Firm

ORANGE — A TRW Inc. unit said Tuesday that it has bought a competitor that provides tax information to Texas title companies.
TRW did not disclose the purchase price for Dual H Enterprises Inc., which employs 50 people in Houston.
Dual H and the TRW unit, TRW Information Services, use government records to determine whether, for instance, properties have tax liens against them.
Information Services, based in Orange, also sells information on property ownership to title companies and the financial industry in Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
TRW Information Services last year acquired Great West Information Services Corp., another Texas company.
