ENTERTAINMENT : Oral Roberts’ Son Assaulted

TULSA, Okla. — Evangelist Richard Roberts was willing to turn the other cheek when a man hit him in the face during a television rehearsal.
Police were less forgiving and cited Steven W. Rogers for trespassing.
Roberts, son of televangelist Oral Roberts, was rehearsing a song for his show Tuesday morning when Rogers demanded to see him, said Gwen Culver, Roberts’ secretary.
“The fellow started coming toward him,” Culver said Wednesday. “Richard could see he was going to hit him square in the face so he turned his head and was hit in the temple.”
Roberts said he did not want to file charges, but Rogers was cited for trespassing, a misdemeanor, said Police Sgt. Regena Jolliff.
