The Chargers have refused to give the Dallas Cowboys permission to talk with Ted Tollner, San Diego’s quarterbacks coach/assistant head coach.
“Bobby (Beathard) told me Jimmy Johnson called for permission,” Coach Dan Henning said, “and he denied it.”
Tollner is under contract with the Chargers. In a similar instance a few weeks ago, the Chargers refused to allow the Rams to talk with defensive coordinator Ron Lynn.
