Bidding Anticipated for Arizona Thrift: An Arizona newspaper reported that BankAmerica Corp. and Security Pacific Corp. are expected to battle for the failed Pima Savings & Loan in Tucson, although a source close to Security Pacific said the Los Angeles bank is not planning to bid on it. Neither San Francisco-based B of A nor Security Pacific would comment on the Arizona Republic report. Pima was seized by regulators in March and is expected to be put up for sale next month.
