Gun Condoms? Traders Buy It

TOKYO — Shares in a big Japanese condom manufacturer rose today on market talk that allied soldiers in the Persian Gulf War are using condoms to keep desert sand out of their gun barrels, Tokyo stockbrokers said.
Share prices in Okamoto Industries, Japan’s largest prophylactic manufacturer, surged 69 yen, or nearly 10%, in heavy trading to finish at 744.
