A 27-year-old Woodland Hills woman was arrested Wednesday in New Orleans because sheriff’s deputies found 11 1/2 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $1.25 million in her luggage, authorities said.
Annette L. Coleman was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession with intent to distribute, and held on $5-million bail, said Capt. John Fortunato of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Coleman arrived at New Orleans International Airport about 8 a.m. on a Delta Airlines flight that originated in Las Vegas and had made a stop in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Acting on a tip, Jefferson Parrish narcotics officers searched Coleman’s luggage and found the cocaine, Fortunato said.
