Linebacker Mike Hall to Attend Stanford
Bishop Montgomery High linebacker Mike Hall has given an unwritten commitment to play football for Stanford and will sign a letter of intent Feb. 6, Bishop Montgomery Coach Steve Carroll said Wednesday.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Hall chose the Cardinal over Notre Dame and UCLA. He canceled recruiting trips to those schools after visiting Stanford.
Hall set a school record last season with 116 tackles and earned a place on the All-Mission League first team. He was a Times’ All-South Bay second-team selection.
Projected to play inside linebacker in college, Hall is rated an excellent defender against the run who needs to work on pass coverage.
