WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

University of San Diego has won six of its last seven games by defeating host Portland, 65-52, in a West Coast Conference game. USD (9-9, 4-10) was led by Christi English with 17 points and Angie Straub with 13. Portland was led by Kelli Dufficy with 13 points. USD led, 32-26, at halftime.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Tonya Fuller of USD was the lone winner as the Toreras fell to host BYU, 6-1, in the BYU Tennis Classic. Fuller defeated Evica Koljanin, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3.
