ROCKET: A rocket is a self-propelled vehicle whose course or trajectory cannot be controlled while in flight. It follows the course in which the launcher is pointed. It can be fired from the ground, sea or air.
MISSILE: A missile is an unmanned weapon that is guided to its target either by optical or other electronics means, such as laser-guided, television-guided or radar-guided. Most “smart” weapons are missiles. Missiles can be surface-to-air, surface-to-surface, air-to-air or air-to-surface.
