Xavier McDaniel of the Phoenix Suns was fined $1,500 for his role in a fight with Portland’s Jerome Kersey last Tuesday night.
Rod Thorn, the NBA’s vice president of operations, said McDaniel was fined for throwing a forearm at Kersey and starting the incident. Referee Dick Bavetta ejected both players for fighting.
