Alpha Microsystems, Santa Ana, said Clarke E. Reynolds, 69, president, and director since 1989, was elected chief executive, replacing Robert B. Hitchcock, 60. Hitchcock, a company founder who remains chairman, said he has been ill and unable to be involved in the company’s day-to-day operations for the past three months.
