LOOK OUT BELOW: Orange County isn’t mentioned in a new federal list of polluted coastal areas, but danger isn’t far away. . . . South and North San Diego Bay have high levels of toxic pollution, as do Long Beach, San Pedro Canyon and Royal Palms Park in Palos Verdes. The six-year study checked chemical traces in fish and sediment at 287 coastal sites in 23 states. Officials say industrial and heavily urbanized areas have the highest risks.
