A 16-year-old boy in a Rolls-Royce was arrested today for allegedly trying to run over several people demonstrating in support of the Persian Gulf War.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Harry Snyder said the teen-ager got into an argument Tuesday night near the Federal Building in Westwood with people demonstrating in support of the war.
The boy left after threatening to return with some friends. Shortly after midnight he showed up in a Rolls-Royce and tried to run over several demonstrators, Snyder said. “Fortunately, he didn’t hit anybody,” Snyder said.
Snyder said the case will be referred to prosecutors.
