BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Brethren Christian Rallies for Victory

Brandon Stott scored 13 of his 18 points in the third quarter and Brethren Christian defeated Orange Lutheran, 56-46, in an Olympic League game Tuesday at Brethren Christian.
Stott had 18 points and Tim Osborn had 17 for Brethren Christian (18-3, 9-1), which trailed, 22-21, at halftime but outscored Orange Lutheran, 35-24, in the second half.
In another Olympic League game:
Whittier Christian 53, Capistrano Valley Christian 33--Ruben Oronoz scored 15 points for visiting Whittier Christian (10-10, 7-3). Nathan Owens had 22 points for Capistrano Valley Christian (3-16, 1-9).
In the Academy League:
Liberty Christian 62, St. Margaret’s 52--Dave Kellams, who had 19 points, made all eight of his free throws in the fourth quarter as host Liberty Christian (10-8, 4-1) held off St. Margaret’s, the defending league champion. Ryan Westendorf scored 19 points for St. Margaret’s.
