MAIL CALL: County residents are heeding the troops’ pleas to keep writing while they are stationed in the Persian Gulf. Santa Ana postal spokeswoman Christine Dugas says 500 to 1,000 pieces of priority mail are flowing from the county to the front each day. “Most of those are parcels,” she says. Another 200 to 500 letters go out daily, plus 50 to 200 pieces of express mail.
