Infotechnology Files Chapter 11: The company, which owns a big stake in the wire service United Press International, said it filed in New York for protection from its creditors under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy laws. The filing, which had been expected, will not have any effect on operations of the wire service, which is up for sale, a spokeswoman said.
