Azusa : Spray Paint Law Approved

Can’t touch this.
That was the message for would-be graffiti artists Monday, when the City Council gave preliminary approval to an ordinance requiring stores to place spray paint cans and large marker pens out of public reach.
The move is intended to cut down on graffiti caused by stolen paint and pens.
If it receives final approval from the council March 18, the ordinance would require store owners to place spray paint and marker pens in an area visible to customers, but not accessible without employee assistance.
Cities with similar laws include Los Angeles, Monterey Park and El Monte.
