Arizona State junior Phil Mickelson, two-time defending NCAA champion, fired a five-under-par 67 to win the Golf Digest Collegiate Invitational tournament at the Tournament Players Club at the Woodlands, Tex. His 54-hole total of 12-under-par 204 was five shots better than that of Bobby Collins of Wake Forest.
