Supporting Gates: Feeling “someone in the media has to get on the other side,” talk-show host Wally George on Monday launched a campaign on his daily KDOC “Hot Seat” program in support of beleaguered Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates. George believes Gates is taking a “deplorable beating and media pounding” and he is urging his viewers to write or call in support of Gates.
