SEAL BEACH : City Gives Initial OK to Boundary Change

The City Council gave preliminary approval last week to a change in council district boundaries.
The change, which is expected to receive final approval later this month, will take the Old Ranch Golf Course property out of Mayor Edna Wilson’s district and place it in Councilman Frank Laszlo’s district. The Bixby Ranch Co. has proposed building a new golf course, houses and commercial development on the land, east of Seal Beach Boulevard and north of the San Diego Freeway.
Laszlo said he suggested the boundary change because his constituents in College Park East are more affected by the proposed development than Wilson’s constituents, who primarily live in Leisure World.
