OXNARD : Teen-Ager Shot at Apartment Complex

A teen-ager was shot in the leg in the carport of an Oxnard apartment complex, police said Friday.
Levert Young, 17, was in fair condition Friday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Young told police that he was walking to his car Thursday about 10:15 p.m. when an unknown assailant fired numerous shots from a handgun in the carport of a complex in the 1900 block of North H Street, police said.
Young was struck once in the leg, police said.
