Good News for Czechs

THE HAGUE — Czechoslovakia’s president, Vaclav Havel, said Friday that European Community leaders responded positively to his suggestion that his country be allowed to enter the European Community by the year 2000.
“All those with whom I discussed the idea were favorable,” Havel told a news conference in The Hague after meeting Dutch leaders.
