Ibezim Ofedu, accused of conspiring with Minnesota Viking kicker Donald Igwebuike to smuggle heroin from Nigeria, pleaded guilty and agreed to testify during the football player’s trial, scheduled to begin April 1. Igwebuike, 31, pleaded not guilty to charges in a Nov. 9 indictment that accused him, Ofedu and a third Nigerian, Maduwuba Ibekwe, of attempting to import 296 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $1 million.
