Fire Causes $200,000 Damage to Restaurant

A grease fire caused $200,000 damage to a Burger King restaurant in Lancaster on Tuesday morning, firefighters said.
The fire erupted about 6:20 a.m. in a fryer at the restaurant at 43627 15th St. West, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Roger Smith. Flames shot through a vent and into the attic before the blaze was extinguished by firefighters about 20 minutes later, he said.
No one was injured and it was unclear how the fire started, Smith said.
