McDonnell Helicopter Unit to Cut 350 Jobs: McDonnell Douglas Corp. said its helicopter unit will cut about 350 jobs at plants in California and Arizona. About 250 jobs in Arizona will be affected, and 100 are at the company’s Culver City facility. McDonnell Douglas Helicopter has about 5,900 people in its work force, including 4,600 in Arizona and 1,300 in California.
