TRW Inc.: The automotive, space and defense technology supplier reported first-quarter earnings of $35 million, down 38% from $57 million in the year-ago period. Sales were $1.92 billion, down 4% from last year’s $1.99 billion. TRW, based in Cleveland, said the declines were largely due to weak demand in the automotive industry.
