A woman was found slain in her Sylmar house Wednesday, and police were looking for her car, authorities said.
Joan Dawley, 55, was found dead about 10 a.m. by a friend, who called paramedics, Los Angeles police said. Dawley apparently died from a blow on the head, Los Angeles coroner’s supervisor Claude Boucher said.
Police were looking for a burgundy 1989 Chrysler that was missing from her house in the 12300 block of El Dorado Avenue. No suspects had been identified Wednesday.
