DANA POINT — John Spaulding pitched a perfect game as Dana Hills defeated Mission Viejo, 6-0, in a South Coast League baseball game Friday at Dana Hills High School.
Spaulding, a senior right-hander, had six strikeouts and improved his record to 7-0.
“It was a very clean perfect game,” Dana Hills Coach Bob Canary said. “There were no great plays to save it; it was just solid defense.”
Tim Wolter had a two-run single in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Chris Morgan had two hits and scored twice for Dana Hills (13-6, 6-3 in league).
