A Delta Airlines Boeing 727 from Las Vegas landed safely Monday morning at Los Angeles International Airport after experiencing problems and calling by radio for emergency equipment to stand by, authorities said.
The airplane landed at 9:08 a.m., about five minutes after problems with “an unspecified flap” were reported, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said.
Fire crews were dispatched to Runway 25 Left to stand by as Delta’s Flight 1443 from Las Vegas with 156 people aboard approached and landed without incident, airport and city Fire Department officials said.
