Hollywood Fete for Gulf Vets
There are those who protest the Hollywood salute to the Gulf War for being too pro-military. I protest because I wish to attend the parade and cannot.
The information given to me by the parade office was that there would be no grandstand seating (for which I was willing to pay) for the general public, there is no plan for parking for the disabled and no seating for the disabled.
I have several pen pals who were (and are) in the Persian Gulf. I would have liked to have honored them by my attendance at the parade. Sadly, I cannot.
