Major Disagreement
My friends and I take exception to the negative remarks by Tom Shales of The Washington Post (TV Times, Oct. 13) regrading “Major Dad” (CBS). We are all pleased to watch a show where the husband is a good Marine officer, proud of the Corps. At the same time, he is a considerate husband and a loving father. Such a welcome change from “Roseanne” (ABC), which depicts family disharmony and is offensive to the ear.
The producers and critics greatly underrate the TV audience. We are tired of filthy dialogue, steamy scenes and screaming. Enough!
