Father’s Turn: Kitty Kelley will appear on NBC’s “Today” show this morning to plug her exclusive interview with the Jackson clan’s father, Joe Jackson, his first interview since daughter La Toya claimed he physically abused her as a child. Kelley, a writer known for her unauthorized biographies, taped the interview for her upcoming syndicated MCA-TV daytime talk show, “The Kitty Kelley Show.” During the interview, Jackson said he didn’t hit his children any more than the average parent: “It was never to the point where . . . it was abuse or something like that.” He also said he thought that La Toya was not making her allegations voluntarily. “I think she’s being brainwashed into doing things by someone that’s very close with her,” he told Kelley. Jackson, who has not seen La Toya in three years, said he wanted her back as a family member.
