Two county residents won $40,000 and $25,000 in the state lottery’s “Big Spin” game last week, officials said.
Marvin Goebel, 25, of Ventura won $40,000 and Efrain Orozco, 48, of Piru won $25,000, said lottery spokesman John Schade.
Goebel, who attends Associated Technical College in Los Angeles, is studying to be a telephone repairman. “My wife was happier than I am,” he said. Goebel said he plans to buy a mobile home and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and to invest the rest in government bonds when he receives his money this week.
Orozco, a machinist who has been buying about two tickets a day for years, said through a translator that he plans to buy a house with his winnings.
