Toys’ Safety Questioned: A plastic Robin Hood sword and dagger, a rabbit-shaped gum-ball machine and a GI Joe assault vehicle are among toys that could be hazardous to a child’s health, according to a new annual list by Edward Swartz, a Boston trial attorney who has scoured the country for dangerous toys for 20 years. The manufacturers of the toys stood by their products, saying they had not received complaints about them. A spokesman for the Consumer Product Safety Commission said none of the toys on Swartz’s list had been recalled. The agency is to unveil its list of recalled toys today.
