How big is Mater Dei’s Angelus League showdown at Bishop Amat? Athletic Director Gary McKnight said more than 1,100 presale tickets for Friday’s game had been sold as of Wednesday.
“And that’s not the students, because they get into the game free,” McKnight said. “So it’s parents, teachers and other adults who have bought them.”
McKnight said the school ordered additional tickets from Bishop Amat. There are still approximately 300 tickets remaining, at $4 each. A limited number of tickets also will be available today at Bishop Amat.
Mater Dei (8-1, 2-1) and Bishop Amat (9-0, 3-0) are ranked second and fifth in the Southern Section Division I poll.
