Mexican Official Lauds Trade Pact: Jose Angel Pescador Osuna, Mexico’s consul general in Los Angeles, predicted that the North American Free Trade Agreement, if passed, will create “a strong continental trading force” in North America that could match Japan and the newly unified Western Europe. The function is a prelude to a quarterly meeting of the various Hispanic chambers of commerce in California on Saturday at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.
