Gustav Weder piloted Switzerland II to victory in the four-man bobsled World Championships at Igles, Austria, getting a strong final push from his teammates to earn his fifth world title. Weder finished the four heats of the two-day competition with a combined time of 3 minutes 26.99 seconds.
Austria I, driven by local favorite Hubert Schoesser, was second in 3:27.37. United States I, driven by Brian Shimer of Naples, Fla., was third in 3:27.38.
