Building ‘Fences’: The frequently bizarre, sometimes controversial CBS drama “Picket Fences,” starring Tom Skerritt and Kathy Baker, will move from Fridays to Thursdays at 10 p.m. on April 1. The move will pit “Picket Fences” creator David E. Kelley against the drama that launched the former attorney’s television career, “L.A. Law.” CBS hopes the weak ratings for “Picket Fences” will pick up on Thursday night, when more viewers gather around the tube. Taking over for “Picket Fences” Fridays at 10 p.m. will be “Bodies of Evidence,” a crime drama CBS tried out last summer about the squad members in a metropolitan homicide department.
