President Clinton’s Plan to Raise Taxes

I tentatively wish to support the President’s proposed budget, but I definitely wish to take up his challenge to be specific about additional spending cuts. Implement the Grace Commission report on the reorganization (read: cutting) of the federal bureaucracy! If the major corporations downsize in an era of economic contraction, why doesn’t our government follow suit? Only if these additional cuts are done will the Administration succeed. Don’t blame me: I voted for Perot!
